Unsaid Thoughts – Mga Ideyang Naiisip Tuwing Naghihintay ng Tren

Stella

Stella was a girl who liked to catch stars every night.
Interstellar sky—that was the life she always dreamed of living.

But the very next day, she was mesmerized by how the moon smiled at her,
How it stayed with her during starless nights,
When the stars were not there to comfort her during sleepless hours, stressed moments at 3 a.m., paranoid thoughts, and a scary room.
How its round, grayish appearance made her calm.
How its mysteriousness made her curious, wanting to know every detail about him.

From then on, she always waited for the sky to dim, the sun to set, the moon to shine, disregarding the little stars.
She fell in love with the moon every night, for the first time, without even realizing it.
This time, she wanted to catch the moon, not knowing that he was already hers.
When she finally realized, she said, “I love you.”

But then, a moonless night came.
How witless she was to look upon the stars again.
How foolish she was to think those little stars were better than her moon.
They were nothing compared to her moon; she knew it deep inside but was stubborn enough to be mad.
The moon got upset.
Stella wasn’t sure what to do, cursing every little star.
Realizing her mistake, she was unsure of herself.

But there was one thing she was certain of: she would stay with her moon, hoping that he would never leave her.
